As a result, we are undertaking a joint study with Barleans Oils, Omegaquant laboratories and 8 professional athletes and their trainers.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of Barlean’s Omega Swirl fish oil in restoring optimal levels of red blood cell Omega 3’s over a period of four months as measured by OmegaQuant Laboratory.  The parameters that will be used to assess this product’s effectiveness are the Omega 3 Index, the Omega 6 to Omega 3 ratio, and the AA to Omega 3 ratio. 

Why are we doing this?  Three reasons:

2.  Barleans Omega Swirl offers an alternative essential fatty acid option for those people who either cannot take or would like to minimize their regular intake of capsules.

3.  Barleans Omega Swirl uses a new technology that provides rapid absorption of the oils providing for increased uptake of these essentials fatty acids with lower total DHA/EPA mg dosages.

Optimal levels of omega 3 fatty acids are one of the most critical health and performance factors in your body.  They are critical for supporting healthy levels of inflammation, maintaining a strong immune system, increasing tissue oxygenation and improving athletic recovery, among many other potential health and performance benefits. 

Our current recommended formula, Pharmax Finest Pure Fish Oil, is considered the "gold standard” in fish oil supplements because it is created with a low-temperature fractionation process that naturally results in exceptional bioavailability.  Most other companies process and concentrate their oils using heat and chemicals (usually hexane).  This not only damages the quality of the oil, but creates toxic chemical residues.
