Nick Stanko
Nick Stanko wins the Detroit Free Press Half Marathon. And has this to say about his experience working with Bioletics:
"My data proves that the Bioletics program works. For years, my fitness would reach a point I couldn't get beyond; I just couldn't get any faster. I tried many different training methods, but nothing made a difference. Within just a few weeks of making the changes Bioletics recommended, my fitness reached a whole, new level."
The numbers don't lie. Tale a look at Nick's historical training data here. The blue line is Nick’s CTL (Chronic Training Load). It indicates the quality and quantity of training he had done over a longer period of time (6 weeks or more). The yellow line is his TSB (Training Stress Balance); the balance between work and rest. The purple line summarizes his ATL (Acute Training Load), the quality and quantity of his more recent training efforts.
Stanko, a self-coached runner from Haslett, Michigan, described his recent race as one of tactics rather than speed. Finishing in 1:06, he explains, “I led from two miles on and slowed it down a few times in an effort to push some pace setting from the field. A little after eight miles, I decided to pick it up and run pretty much all out. Once I opened up a gap, I eased back on the pace and ran relaxed to the finish.”
Nick has already qualified for the 2012 Olympic Trials with a 2:19 marathon and 1:05 half marathon, but plans on running even faster. “I try to not set limits on myself, so running in the 2:10 range is not out of the question. That's one of the beauties of running,” he adds, “you just never know where the road will take you.”
Bioletics looks forward to helping Nick reach (and exceed) his goals in the months and years to come. Interested in learning more about Nick and following his racing results? Visit http://nicholasstanko.com.
